Carlemany - Girona

The rooms were lovely and the location for proximity to both the train station and the town are excellent.

I requested a double bed, got two single beds instead pushed together

Our family enjoyed the Carlemany overall. We were in Girona during the Volcano Ash fiasco and the hotel staff were good to us during the stay. Loved the city!!

Not sure that the hotel should be rated 4 stars, maybe 3.5 or 3?? The front of the hotel is mobbed by Spanish teenagers smoking during the day. Seems like a 'hangout' spot for them. Would suggest to hotel ownership to make the front area off limits to loiterers.

We enjoyed the breakfast cafeteria and the plaza. We loved Girona--a charming old city with nice restarants and shops on the narrow streets. Great outdoor cafes and street entertainers. A real jewel of a town. Please write at least 15 words

It's a good location in the new part of town, really close to the bus and train station, good comfortable bed, a good all round standard 4 star hotel.

Staff could be more friendly - but overall it's all ok.

We have stayed at the hotel before and always found it to be ideal for our needs and would recommend it to our friends,should the need arise we would stay there again.

Very clean room, close to train statoin and town.

The hotel was centrally located but quiet and obviously popular with people as a coffee and lunch stop.

The bar wasn't open on a Sunday evening.

we stayed for 2 nights at this ecellent hotel. Staff were very polite and helpful although the bar tenders/waiters did find it very hard to smile.The main bar was closed which was abit of a let down but I think this is due to the spanish holiday season. I n fact the whole town was very quiet but this suited us.overall a great hotel in a great little town near to the bus and train staion.

The staff were very kind and helpful regarding the hotel, sights and restaurants in the old city.

The room was tidy, comfortable and large enough to fit our whole family (a 6 year old and 18month old). The staff were very helpful and the hotel was well situated to explore Girona.

The lobby felt a little soul-less as the restaurant was closed for August(!)

extractor in bathroom did not work and was not fixed eventhough we informed front desk on first morning.

This is a well-managed, quietly efficient hotel. The quality and comfort of the bedroom was as one would expect from a 4* city-centre hotel. The location was excellent for sight-seeing the old city. We used the coffee bar for breakfast and the cocktail bar for a nightcap. Both excellent.

The beds were really comfortable and clean. This hotel was in a perfect location close to the train station. Good walking distance to the Cathedral area.

The staff working in the Bistro were in a rush to get us out an hour before closing.

My husband and I decided to stay in Girona and take the train to Barcelona. We picked the Carlemany Hotel because of the location. It is only two blocks from the train station. When we arrived at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised with the location. Not only is it near the train station, but it is close to a lot of shopping stores and a five minute walk to the old town of Girona. I also would like to mention that the breakfast was wonderful. Lastly, the mini bar was great and the prices even better. My husband and I usually stay away from the mini bar because of the price, but we really used our mini bar. I have to admit that I love the town of Girona more then Barcelona. My husband and I would definitely come back and stay at the Carlemany hotel.

Very close to the station and to the shopping area of town, great restaurants and room service, nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable - will stay again on next trips
